Dr. Winfried Teiwes, CEO
Winfried Teiwes, founder of OD-OS, looks back upon almost two decades of successful business expansion. His wide-ranging experience includes technology and business leadership in ophthalmic solutions. He holds a PhD in electrical engineering.
Dr. Ben Liesfeld, Vice President Engineering
Ben Liesfeld is co-inventor of the Navilas® technology and has managed the product development of our devices from the very beginning. Ben Liesfeld is a physicist holding a PhD in laser technology.
Dennis Dowell, Manager Business Development
Dennis Dowell brings to OD-OS over 20 years of experience in lasers and imaging in the field of ophthalmology. Prior to commercial experience, Dennis worked in a large retina practice as a Manager of Ophthalmic Photography. He holds a master's degree in science.
Ulrike Weber, Product Manager
Ulrike Weber has been Product Manager for Navilas® from the beginning at SMI. She has focused on retinal applications from early on and holds a engineering degree specialized in medical technology.
Stephan Kirsch, Manager Software Development
Prior to taking over the responsibility of managing the extensive software development relating to Navilas®, Stephan Kirsch was a Software Architect for eye tracking and registration solutions for the anterior part of the eye at SMI. With a master in computer science and a strong software development team by his side, he is continuously expanding the functionality of our NAVILAS system.
Dr. Kay-Uwe Amthor, Manager Advanced Development
With his doctorate in physics, Kay-Uwe Amthor has several years of experience in Optical and Medical Technology, including ophthalmic imaging, laser treatment, laser systems and laser-based particle acceleration.
Dr. Derk Weidauer, Manager New Product Introduction and System Development
Derk Weidauer holds a PhD in physics and has a wide range of professional experience both in the field of laser systems and measurement systems. Derk has managed development teams in former start-up companies and at Spectra Physics.
